How to find us...
Mantel Farm, Henley Down, Catsfield, Nr Battle, East Sussex, TN33 9BN
Situated in East Sussex, on the outskirts of the town of Battle, take the B2204 out of Battle to Catsfield Village. Then turn left into Church Road (opposite the village shop and pub). Stay on this road for approximately one mile, going past the primary school and church, leaving the village and continuing past 'Potmans Lane' on your right. Continue until you see the Henley Down sign post where 'Watermill Lane' goes off to the right; keep left and after about 100 yards turn right between two brick piers. We are straight ahead.
For those using sat-nav, beware! it will nearly get you here but will send you down Watermill Lane, please also note: we are not in the triangle as shown, but just to the right on the map (on the catsfield to crowhurst road)
A bit about us...
Mantel Farm is on the outskirts of the historic town of Battle in the hamlet of Henley Down, between the villages of Catsfield and Crowhurst. It has been a poultry farm since the 1940's, originally producing poultry and eggs to the commercial market. When we purchased the farm it had ceased trading for a number of years, but it soon became our dream to not let this agricultural premises lay idle but to return it to its intended use, but on a smaller scale.
We now have many breeds of poultry along with our small families of ducks, pigs, rabbits, geese, bees and goats. Supplying livestock, produce, animal feed and equipment from our shop, we specialise in poultry; selling everything you need to keep chickens yourselves.
Please come and visit our shop, be it to buy or talk to us about keeping your own animals, we would love to see you and encourage you to try this special way of life, either byenjoying the pleasure of keeping livestock, or by simply buying local produce. We hope we can show you that you don't need a farm to keep animals, any reasonable sized garden can be home to a few hens for really fresh free range eggs, a hive of bees for honey and only a small pig paddock is needed for your own tasty pork.

We considered a staff photo but Benny is far more attractive!
